David T. Chislom
Born March 12, 1951, in Chattanooga, TN where he was converted and preached his first sermon at the age of 7.
He is currently residing in Charlotte, NC. He is the senior minister of the Sugar Creek Church of Christ, a congregation he established in October of 1988. The Sugar Creek Church of Christ is one of the largest congregations in the city of Charlotte with a membership of over 400. The congregation has over 30 ministries.
In addition to maintaining a thriving church, Bro. Chislom owns and operates a private counseling agency where he serves as a licensed clinical psychotherapist. Bro. Chislom has also served as a former college administrator, and a college instructor in business law, leadership development, mathematics, sociology, and current geopolitical affairs as well as former director of counseling at Phillips College.
Bro. Chislom is listed in Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges, and in the publication of Outstanding Young Men of America. He is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Mental Health Counselors Association.

His majors include: bible, religious education, guidance and counseling, and counseling psychology. He attended Southwestern Christian College and was crowned 'Mr. Southwestern.' He also attended Abilene Christian University, Jackson State University, Pepperdine University, California Theological Seminary, and Columbia University. His doctoral dissertation at Columbia University was entitled Re-acting Out: A Cognitive Model of Abstract Self-Help Therapy for the Adult Suburban Middle Class Addict. In this 200-page document, Dr. Chislom presents a groundbreaking 7-step model for conquering 10 complex addictions, creating case studies using original subjects in a clinically-controlled experiment.
Bro. Chislom has a lovely wife, Sandra, and 2 handsome sons, Jason and Nickolas. They are his constant inspiration and apart from his salvation, they are his greatest blessing in life.
In religious circles, Bro. Chislom prefers to be referred to, not as 'Dr. Chislom,' but simply as 'Brother David.'
