Bro. Leslie James is the Evangelism Minister of Sugar Creek Church of Christ and Managing Partner at Armoza & Company. He is a graduate of Southwestern Christian College and The University of Texas at Tyler. While at Southwestern, he met his wife, Nedral Marie, while pledging for a Christian organization. During his first year, he was elected President of the chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honors Society and President of the ministerial fraternity, Tau Phi Kappa.

In the summer of 2006, he served as a ministerial intern to the Biblical Expositor Bro. David Wilson of the Kings Church of Christ in Brooklyn, NY. His training included facilitating relevant ministry programs and applying the dynamics of expository preaching and teaching.
Upon moving to Tyler, Bro. James worked at the City Manager's Office in Tyler. His primary objectives were to acquire managerial, financial and leadership skills. While in Tyler, Bro. James served for 2 years as the Assistant and Youth Minister of the North Tenneha Church of Christ.
Since returning to Sugar Creek, he has served faithfully under the mentorship of Bro. David Chislom. In addition to preaching, Bro. James provides guidance for the Yokefellows Ministry, the Disciple Maker's Academy, Zone Ministry, First Time Visitor's Bible Study, DMA Teaching Team and Fisherman’s Pier. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Nonprofit Management and Leadership program at Walden University.
Upon graduation in May of 2012, he plans to pursue the Masters of Divinity in Biblical studies. His desire is to contend earnestly for the faith and serve faithfully as one of God's gospel preachers. 'Relevant revelation of the Word of God is my passion. It is my purpose to be biblical, interesting, exciting, and practical through this medium.' Bro. James and his wife have one daughter, Imani Marie.
