Sometimes when you're praying and talking with God above, you get carried away with "I need", "I want", "I'd love". Instead of conversation, it seems like a one-way line. In all my asking and begging, it's "Me", "Please make it mine".
You think you are being gracious when you add a "please" to your request. But when you close the light right off and close your eyes to rest, so seldom do you think of what he has to say. Once you have done all your sharing, it's time to end the day.
Perhaps thats not the way that a prayer is supposed to be, and maybe there are things that He'd like to ask of thee. Maybe He'd like to share a few things on His mind, or help you find the answers to the things that you have asked to find.
You will remember He's your friend and won't let Him feel left out. You will try asking and then listening because thats what prayers are about. So next time you start praying, you are going to try something new. When you are finished talking, you will ask "What can I do for You?"
