"Take the Shackles Off Your Feet"
Are you ready to rejoice, to be happy and excited? Well, I am. We ought to be serving the Lord; well, I am. He has allowed me to realize that when I come to serve I must come to serve Him with praise. Like David, I have come to rejoice and be exceedingly glad when I come into the house of the Lord. I'm coming to give God what He deserves. We need to take the shackles off our feet. Many of us have shackled ourselves down with cares and worries and doubts and fears, anger, frustration, and unforgiveness. But we are God's children! We are the sheep of His pasture. He is the shepherd who guides us beside the still waters and leads us in the path of righteousness. We have no doubt that He is our saviour and He loves us. He is our God and He cares for us and He can conquer for us. We are not victims, but victors through Him. We are powerful because He is powerful. We are sanctified because He has set us apart. We are mighty because He is mighty and holy because He is holy. Through His righteousness we can find salvation. We are proud to be a part of the kingdom of God. We ought to act like it; we ought to sing like it; we ought to pray like it; we ought to talk like it; we ought to love like it; we ought to be rejoicing with exceeding joy as we contemplate this great day we have planned every Sunday and every other meeting we have to serve our God. I am ready to have a good time rejoicing from now on and hope you are ready to rejoice with me. Let's give God our best. May God bless you!
