"Stick 'Um Up God!"

I know this subject may sound strange to you, and you may wonder what in the world am I going to talk about. Well lets face it. Yes, we rob God - we stick God up . . as the cowboys used to say - stick 'um up. We rob Him with all of our money, and we justify it by providing our kids with lavishing things and ourselves that we forget God.

It is always wonderful to give, because the Bible teaches that it is more blessed to give than to receive. We take God's money and we take the offering obligated and commanded to give to Him. It is a crying shame - to say the least. It is awful that this happens among God's people, that we rob God. It is also a very terrible thing to think about the fact that Christ made such an ultimate sacrifice for us, and we have so little to sacrifice for Him. It never fails to interest me that the contributions are going to lower during the summer time, when people go on vacation. The terrible thing about that is, God continually blesses us the same and gives us wondrous things to behold - we tend to always take from Him to indulge in pleasure upon ourselves: it be vacations or a holiday travel. It is alright to have those things, but, my friends, it will never be alright to rob God in the process. If your contributions are lowered, or if you are giving less and you still make and prosper the same, how can you possibly justify that before God Almighty?

How can we say that He is our Lord, and He is all in all to us; that He is the one that sustains us everyday. We truly believe that we could not make it without Him; and then we turn around and we slap Him in the face, and spit on Him by robbing Him and taking from His offering? Lets not be victims of that! If you want God to bless you throughout the year, make sure you take care of Him throughout the year. Do your part, plant your seed, never rob God, and you will find far more blessings than you would from the temporary gratification we get from serving Him when we feel like it, or avoid giving and serving Him. This is a very important message, and I hope you are hearing. It will make a difference during the year.

Real Honest Love,
Bro Dave
