What is the Church of Christ?

The sign affixed to the building reads 'THE CHURCH OF CHRIST.' Who are these people? What is distinctive about them or their doctrine? Are they not just another church? Are they some sort of splinter group; do they have national or international recognition? These and many other questions may well be asked by the honest searcher.

The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 16:16 "the churches of Christ salute you . .", and he exhorted the elders of the church in Ephesus to ". . feed the church of the Lord which He hath purchased with His own blood" (Acts 20:28). Should one be able to identify the church of Christ as referenced in the Bible? We believe so!
